Hello my name is Sharon and I’m a Buddhist chaplain. I’ve been practising Buddhism for the last 10 years and exploring different spirituality for the last 30 years teaching different types of meditation. I live in Felixstowe and I have lived here for the last 20 years with my family. Felixstowe is a beautiful place to live with taking mindfulness walks along the beach and the Suffolk lands.
In 2016, I became a Buddhist chaplain by taking my Buddhist vowels into the Hamni Chinese esoteric School of Buddhism and became an ordained disciple. I have learnt to overcome and heal deep trauma through the power of meditation and mindfulness to heal deep trauma through the power of meditation and mindfulness. I was suffering from PTSD as I spent 7 years in palliative care and dealing with some traumatic situations that took its toll on myself. Dealing with childhood trauma and anger, this all led me to the power of Buddhist meditation for me it has been the path of deep transformation.
I now help others to heal and align themselves to their true nature of authenticity, to promote the benefits of meditation within their daily lives and working lives. I offer talks and workshops within the community schools and corporate settings on the benefits of meditation and the power of letting go and finding deep compassion within oneself to transform life and find real happiness, joy, peace and calmness that not only transforms ones own life, but also those around them to benefit all sentinel beings.
Everyone can learn to meditate and to let go of stress and anxiety to learn to be truly happy and joyful, so if you feel stresse, angry, tired and anxious then meditation is a key for you. If you struggle to sleep at night then come and join me in my classes where I offer weekly classes currently online learn to be truly present in the moment.
I currently teach mindfulness meditation online classes and for corporate corporations, and during the pandemic I have offered classes online to those wishing to learn how to live without depression anxiety and stress through the power of meditation.
By the end of July of this year I’m hoping to be able to offer group meditations classes instead of online as we work our way out of this pandemic and life opens up to us again with fresh eyes and new creative ideas.
Also, come and join me in guided mindfulness walk to celebrate “Meditation Day”. Mindfulness walking is an ancient practice of learning to be in the present moment with nature and gives us the opportunity to gather our awareness, which often becomes distracted or stuck when the mind is left to its own thoughts.
On the day I will teach you mindfulness breathing techniques and how to focus your breath, I will also give you a mantra to use while you are on your mindfulness walk.
Mindfulness is an ancient practice that was taught by Buddha himself as a way to help us become more mindful of our thoughts and how our thoughts are illusions and bringing mindfulness practice into everyday life increases happiness joy peace calm and stillness.
We will be meeting at the Grove carpark Felixstowe on the 21st May for 1.55pm to start at 2 o’clock weather permitting please book suggested donation £5.
Namaste,
Sharon
