"Words of Peace" a Poem by Sarah Lou Cawdron

Let gentle words like soft rain fall,
Upon the hearts of one and all.
A soothing balm, a whispered plea,
For peace to bloom, for all to see.

Let kindness be the guiding light,
Dispelling shadows, dark as night.
A tender touch, a helping hand,
To heal the wounds across the land.

Let understanding bridge the gaps,
Between the differing, fractured maps.
Embrace the views, though they may stray,
And find the common ground, today.

For peace is not a distant shore,
But seeds of hope we sow and pour,
In every act, in every deed,
A gentle promise, a planted seed.

So let us speak with gentle grace,
And find a peaceful, loving space,
Where harmony and comfort dwell,
In words of peace, a hopeful spell.
