Bird sculptures and mythical flying beasts alongside some surprising subjects from local folklore. And beautiful fused glass pieces for the home and garden.

As a sculptor, I’ve come to love wire in a big way. You may well have seen some of the dragons in key positions around Felixstowe in April or know me for the angel sculpture from Helmingham Hall but this exhibition is a celebration of metal and glass as I show my work alongside that of Kathy Geater’s beautiful fused glass. Bird sculptures and mythical flying beasts alongside some surprising subjects from local folklore will reveal themselves. There are some collaborative works such as the steel and glass bird baths and a quantity of small works on vintage papers.
I’m interested in layers and curious about the story they reveal. Whether working in salvaged wire or approaching the mark inscribed surfaces of vintage papers, the narrative of what has gone before informs the creation. I’m interested in history, in the marks made in the earth by those that have been before us and in the marks we will leave when we return to the earth. A recent session as resident artist working alongside Time Team at Sutton Hoo, instigated new projects.
I hope you enjoy my creations. I’ve certainly enjoyed making them.

I take inspiration from the natural world, and I like to create pieces like reflect the organic shape and form that I see around me.
Based in the Northeast I have created with glass for many years now. I have an MA in glass from the National Glass Centre in Sunderland and have exhibited widely across the region. More locally I have exhibited at Folk East Festival and Art on the Prom in Felixstowe.
