A Few Things to Try for Mental Health


Today is Mental Health Day, Mental health is super important because it affects every aspect of our lives. Taking care of our mental well-being helps us feel happier, more confident, and better equipped to handle life's challenges. It's like giving ourselves a little TLC on the inside.

So let's dive into why mental health matters and how we can prioritise it! 😊🌟

When you're feeling down, it's important to take care of your mental health.

Here are a few things you can try:

 

1. Reach out to a supportive friend or family member and talk about how you're feeling.


2. Engage in activities that bring you joy, like listening to music, reading a book, or going for a walk ~ my favourite place to go for a walk has to be along the seafront 🌊


3. Practice self-care by taking a relaxing bath, doing some yoga, or indulging in your favorite hobby ~ if you're thinking of starting up a new hobby, story writing is so fun for us creatives, if you're sporty swimming is very relaxing too. 


4. Prioritise rest and ensure you're getting enough sleep each night ~ recommended is about 7hrs but it depends on every person 😊


5. Set boundaries and say no to things that may overwhelm you or add unnecessary stress ~ and instead do some of your favourite hobbies! 


6. Seek professional help if needed, such as talking to a therapist or counselor ~ this is a big one, there's no shame in seeking help ❀️

 

Remember, your mental health is important, so take the time to prioritise self-care and do what makes you feel good. You've got this! πŸ’ͺ😊
