Felixstowe Death Cafe at Cuppa

81 High Rd W Felixstowe

Wednesday, 17 July 2024 from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM

So what is a death café anyway?

At a Death Cafe, people drink tea, eat cake and discuss death. Our aim is to increase awareness of death to help people make the most of their (finite) lives. A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session.

Death Cafes are always offered:

  • On a not for profit basis
  • In an accessible, respectful and confidential space
  • With no intention of leading people to any conclusion, product or course of action
  • Alongside refreshing drinks and nourishing food – and cake!
  • Commitment is to provide a safe space for sharing, listening, learning, and supporting each other.

Felixstowe Cuppa Death Cafe is held in the friendly and inviting Cuppa cafe on High Street, Felixstowe.

There is on-street parking nearby and the cafe is also well served by public transport.  They serve a great range of tasty coffee, food and cake, including many amazing Vegan and Vegetarian options, which of course you're welcome to enjoy during the session! We'd love you to come along and be part of our death discussion.  You are welcome to bring children and babes in arms to the session, however, please bring your own entertainment for them and be aware that the topics discussed may not always be suitable for small ears.
