"I Wear My Poppy With Pride" - a Poem by Sarah

Oh, the poppy, a symbol of remembrance and might,

A flower of courage, a beacon of light,

I wear it with pride, on my heart and my sleeve,

A token of honor, a badge of my creed.

The petals so delicate, the colors so bright,

A symbol of hope, in the darkest of nights,

I wear my poppy with pride, with a heart full of cheer,

For the fallen heroes, who fought for us here.

Their sacrifices not forgotten, their memories so dear,

I wear my poppy with pride, to show they are near,

In the fields of battle, where they fought and died,

Their legacy lives on, in the poppy's pride.

So let us remember, the price of our freedom,

The blood that was shed, for our liberty's dream,

I wear my poppy with pride, to keep their memory green,

And to honor the brave, who fought for our scene.
