A Thought is Just a Thought...

A thought is just a thought, but do you ever stop to think, where did a thought come from or what it is?

I invite you to think of yourself like a radio and your mind is the dial that is able to tune into different stations and frequencies.

With the understanding that everything in this universe is energy and all energy vibrates, frequency becomes a natural effect of vibration, which sends a pattern or an attraction out into the universe (most people have heard the term ‘Law of attraction’). Every individual has a vibrational signature which is made up of thoughts, experiences, beliefs, emotions and desires, which are the biggest influencers. Therefore it is impossible for someone to hold the same signature as another because of all the of variables and this is why are all so unique, just like a fingerprint or DNA.

You are an electro-magnetic being and your signature is not just a given. Your thoughts are electrical and your emotions magnetic. It is possible to change much of your vibration (your energy) predominately by changing what you consume, think, believe, interact with and therefore feel about yourself. The higher your vibration / energy the better one automatically feels and it simply changes what you attract into your life.

So in the same way as choosing to consuming caffeine in the morning, knowing it will give you a boost first thing, choosing the thoughts we interact with will change our energy too, (rather than the thoughts we habitually ‘tune’ into). Awareness often starts with the conscious choice to want to feel better and going in search of the answers and believe it or not we are intelligently designed to feel good, hence the desire to feel good. You where born with ALL your feelings for a purpose but you where not born with your thoughts.

One of the rules of the mind is, what you focus on you get more of or where your attention goes your energy flows. Here is an example.

If a car of four people were on a journey together all four people will have a completely different journey. There will be individual thought processes continually going on based on what and how each prioritise their own lives.

Let's say there is a mother in the car, she will pick up consciously or unconsciously, on anything that may be of benefit to her children. This may be passing an advert for a toy, a song on the radio her daughter loves that reminds her to buy it for her birthday or of a conversation with the driver about a new social club that provides a childrens club.

If a teenage boy was in the car the advert of the toy, the song and the conversation would simply pass him by because they where not of any interest to him. The advert may not even of entered his awareness even though he saw it he may have absolutely no recollection of the song or conversation because his focused energy was else where in his mind.

Maybe the teenager had an art exam the next day and he spent the whole journey scouring the horizon, ‘tuning in his frequency’ for visual inspiration. He may have been feeling anxious about the upcoming exam so his emotional state might be influencing his reluctance to be interactive. Let's say he’d skipped breakfast, now he has the desire to eat and he can't help but notice all the fast food places they pass, and becomes impatient to get to the destination so he can eat. No one else in the car has ‘picked up on or tuned into’ the restaurants because they are not hungry.

If I was in the car, I would probably have picked up on the anxiousness of the teenager because of my interest in this work. A song on the radio may of evoked a feeling in me, and I too wouldn’t take any interest a toy advert or the news of a children’s club, but I would have noticed an advert for a winter holiday because it is of interest to me and on my ‘radar’ so to speak.

The driver of the car is hopefully going to be focused on the road, they may be a nervous driver and very focused or relaxed and able to converse easily about all that's going on in their own life. They may have the thought, the teenager is moody, oblivious to his anxiousness.

We all arrive at the same destination but we have all had a completely different experiences.

So your mind is like a dial on a radio and it is absolutely possible to train your mind (your focus and energy) into different frequencies and ‘dial in’ on different information. One can go for a walk and appreciate the sky, the wildlife and all that nature brings or moan about the muddy path and the weather, the choice is yours and your choice will affect your vibration because every single thought you think creates a chemical response in the body.

This is mostly why mental health is at an all time low, lack of education, impacted by an individual and a collective energy of negativity which is constantly effecting your electro-magnetic field. We are bombarded with frequencies all the time, but you do have a choice which frequencies you choose to ‘tune’ into. Of course this takes a little effort and practice but once you realise how wonderful and intelligent your physiology truly is, you can use it to your advantage.

Simply put, if everyone put a little more focus on raising their own vibrational signature the world would instantly be a better place. Your signature or energy field effects everyone around you and adds to a collective consciousness. We all have a person in mind we know who is uplifting or draining influence on us, and most have heard the term, radiators and drains.

Of course thoughts and beliefs run much deeper than the scenario I have just described. Individual experiences stored in the subconscious lead us to create different beliefs and thoughts about ourselves and what is available to us. Our emotions magnetise more of the same experiences into our daily lives until we consciously decide we want to upgrade our energy and invest in ourselves, for example, eating better foods, choosing better thoughts, addressing our habits, upgrading our beliefs or by simply surrounding ourselves in a more nurturing environment.

A thought is just a thought, one doesn’t have to engage with it.

Unfortunately most people habitually think about 95% of the same thoughts day after day but there are ways to change that, simple swaps could be, an individual choosing to socialise with new people that inspire and motivate them, getting creative with a new hobby or investing in a learning experience. Another way is to turn the news off and ‘tune’ into a uplifting documentary like Blue Planet that helps you appreciate the world we live in. Gratitude is a high vibrational field that is simultaneously healing but there is only one person who can change your choices and that is you.

All of the above, are acts of self-love which equates to raising your energy and vibrational signature, in turn making you feel better. Self love can simply mean getting out in nature more, choosing to eat protein instead of sugar or taking a multivitamin daily. It could be prioritising your own needs for a change instead of trying to please others, or merely walking away from negative conversations. We are all unique, we all have different objectives and desires but we are all worthy and deserving of our own attention and prioritising our needs.

With all my best,
