"Halloween", a Poem by Sarah Lou Cawdron

Oh Halloween, the night of spooky delight
A time for tricks and treats, both day and night.
The pumpkins glow with orange hue,
As ghosts and goblins dance, an eerie crew.
The witches cackle in the night,
As bats and spiders take flight.
The zombies shamble through the streets,
In search of brains to eat their sweet.
The black cats purr with wicked glee,
As the jack-o'-lanterns light the way.
The Frankenstein monster roams the land,
In search of a brain to hold his hand.
The witches' cauldron bubbles and brews,
As the banshees wail their haunting hues.
The graveyards creak and groan with fright,
As the ghosts and goblins dance through the night.
Oh Halloween, the night of spooky delight,
A time for tricks and treats, both day and night.
So put on your costume and join the fun,
And let the spooky spirits guide you to the dawn.
