Let’s talk affordable makeup and how to look good on a budget!

Do we really need to spend £££ on beauty products?

Over my years of beauty blogging, I have learnt that high-end, expensive beauty products isn't always the way to go! Today I shall share my tricks on how I save money and still look good on a budget!

Let's talk bargains!

Everybody absolutely loves a bargain. I know I do! If I see a product that's high-end and a little out of my budget, I do my research on places like Tiktok and 90% of the time, I find a duplicate product for a 3rd of the price. This is a big one! For example, I wanted to pick up the Charlotte Tilbury beauty wand but couldn't justify £40, so I went to Tiktok and found that Revolution do one that's very similar!

I remember being a teenager and wanting all those new expensive makeup products but you honestly don't need them! I watch some big beauty influencers on social media now and they include lots of drugstore products in their makeup routines and their skin and makeup always looks flawless! You just have to find the products that work for you. It is a part of my job to try out new products regularly and it is often I find myself preferring drugstore makeup to high-end. I have tried £30 foundations and I always go back to my £10 one!

Best places to find bargains

A year or two back I was finding many bargains in Superdrug and that's how my Tiktok blew up, but since then Tiktok has created a shop where you can buy your regular makeup for a fraction of the price! I have my own Tiktok shop and the products I showcase are actually cheaper than popping down to your local drugstore! Also Amazon I have found is cheaper for things like my foundations and mascaras.
I know people will be in two minds for this but Vinted! If I want to try something that's a little on the pricey side, I always check there for makeup as some people sell products that haven't been used for crazy affordable prices! I found a Dior foundation for £10 on there and the woman hadn't used it! It's definitely a way to build your collection without breaking the bank!

Don't let social media fool you
Sometimes I sit there on social media and just question how do people afford all these new products all the time! Don't let them fool you - they are only showing what they want you to see! Also, a lot of beauty bloggers have a lot of these new products gifted to them for advertising. I also know some kids from school can be unkind if you don't have the latest products but you don't need all that! I still am using the some Poundland eyeliner and brow gel that I started using when I first started beauty blogging. I love them! Also for Christmas you can look at places like the Tiktok shop where some creators do makeup bundles for half of the price and I'm always picking them up for myself and my mum!

So there you have it, I hope this makes you feel a little more empowered with your beauty budget!
