Busy Summer for Felixstowe Community Hospital League Of Friends

A busy summer is always best, especially for charities! Here's the team from the Felixstowe Community Hospital League Of Friends to tell you about their many activities this summer 😊

A busy Summer for the LoF starting with the well-attended Summer Bazaar which was opened by Felixstowe Mayor, Seamus Bennett and raised a fabulous £973.

Felixstowe Library hosted a colourful display of student artwork that formed a poster competition organised by LoF in recognition of the NHS 75 years celebration. Artwork is now at Felixstowe hospital where it is being displayed on the wards.

As an addition to the celebrations the LoF also planted a commemorative tree in the hospital gardens. Further tidying of the gardens saw some wonderful joint charity working. After, the LoF gave a ‘shout out’ for help to restore the garden benches, the Men’s Shed came forward and completed the work.

The 21st August saw Felixstowe Hospital celebrate its 114th birthday! It remains and excellent community resource for all.

We are already starting to plan our Christmas Bazaar, which is taking place on December 9th at St Felix Church Hall. This event will be a wonderful opportunity for a sausage roll or mince pie, whilst looking for festive gifts from one of our craft stalls.
