What have Langer Primary been up to?

Well, what a busy spring term it has been here at Langer Primary Academy! So many exciting things have been going on. On 7th March we sent a group of children off to Snape Maltings, to perform in the Celebration 2023 event. The children were amazing, and really did Langer proud. We had so many positive comments on the children's behaviour and how smart they looked in their uniform. The children performed two songs, When I Grow Up, from Matilda the musical, and Dreamers by Jung Kook. They had a special rehearsal before they went, where they performed for the residents of Coniston House residential home. The children sang their songs and then they read to the residents. The residents enjoyed the performance so much, that they were still talking about it at bedtime! We hope to continue to build on this relationship with the residents at Coniston house, by having regular visits there with our year 1 students. Recently, as I'm sure you are aware, we had a very special visit to Felixstowe: HRH Princess Royal! She visited the coastguard at Martello Tower, as she is a royal patron of the coastguard. Afterwards she drove past the school to wave to all the pupils! The pupils were so patient and well behaved as we waited outside for her arrival and spent the rest of the day talking about it. HRH was very kind and slowed right down to wave to the children and take notice of them waving their union jack flags. We are looking forward to the Summer Term, with the longer evenings and hopefully better weather. We are looking forward to our summer disco, summer fayre and many trips out, including our Y6 residential to Basecamp CYM.
