Calling all animal lovers! Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced painter, this unique workshop is your chance to create a custom portrait of your beloved pet (or favourite animal) with plenty of guidance and support.
What makes my sessions unique is that they’re led by me, a professional fine artist who has also been teaching for over 10 years. Every workshop includes a stretched canvas so you’ll leave with a piece that’s ready to hang, not something that ends up shoved in a drawer.
My sessions are also therapy-informed, shaped with advice from therapists to create a space where you can switch off, de-stress, and simply enjoy the process of painting. I take an eco-friendly approach too, using reusable tools and materials wherever possible, and I’m always looking for new ways to make a positive impact.
And because I’m neurodivergent, my teaching style is straight-talking and free of jargon – I share the real tips, tricks, and techniques I use in my own fine art practice to help you build confidence and discover just how much you’re capable of creating.
Here’s what makes it special:
Custom Pre-Drawn Canvas: Email a clear photo of your pet (one pet per person, please) and I’ll hand-sketch your A3 (12x16 inch) sized canvas in advance. Backgrounds, bridles, or objects can be removed so the focus is on your animal.
Personalised Colours: I’ll prepare a tailored palette to match your pet’s unique markings. You’ll also receive digital mock-ups of your painting to help you plan your colours and layout.
Step-by-Step Support: Watch a demo, then enjoy 1:1 help throughout the session as you bring your portrait to life.
Relaxed Atmosphere: Enjoy complimentary drinks and cake during our mid-session break.
